Victor Kaufman Obituary

Victor A. Kaufman, 72, Carefree resident for the past 15 years left us to be with Jesus on August 30th after a short illness. He and his family resided in Montville, NJ prior to his retirement and subsequent move to Arizona. He was born in Little Ferry, NJ and served in the US Navy on the USS Forrestal. He worked for PSE&G and various government agencies for 35 years in NJ. He also worked part-time for the Carefree Resort and Villas in Carefree, AZ for 14 years. Survived by his wife Barbara of 47 years, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Dennis Lisowski of Cave Creek, AZ; daughter Lori Kaufman of Cave Creek, AZ; sister Eleanor Bobucky of Pompton Plains, NJ and grandchildren Brian and Nicole Lisowski, of Cave Creek, AZ. His family was the focus of his life and he lived every moment for them. He may be gone, but he certainly isn't forgotten and never will be. He was from an era when a handshake or his word was a bond, and his friendship was everlasting. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. A 'Celebration of Life' Service will be held at the Carefree Resort and Villas in Carefree, AZ, Thursday September 11th starting at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Valley or AZ Make a Wish Foundatin will be appreciated.

My condolences to your family. My wife and I got to meet Vic while camping one weekend. We hit off from the start and my only regret is that we did not have more trips together. We will truly miss him.
