Adam Russell Overton passed away May 16th, 2012 at the Olivia White Hospice Home in Flagstaff after a courageous, lifelong battle with Freidreich's Ataxia. He was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on November 26, 1976. In his youth, Adam enjoyed participating in Boy Scouts, Chess Club, and listening to music. He was an accomplished Special Olympian for many years competing in bowling and skiing. Adam attended the Flagstaff Public Schools and graduated from Sinagua High School in 1995. After graduation, Adam was employed for eight years at Bookman's Entertainment as a customer service representative. The family is eternally grateful for the opportunity and their support. He had a contagious smile and a never ending sweet tooth, often requesting seconds of his favorite desserts. His final years at Olivia White Hospice Home were full of good food, crafts, listening to his favorite music and visiting with friends and family in a loving environment. Adam is survived by his parents Karen, Don (Jerri), Grandmother Melba Harlin, Brother Scott, Nephews Ryan and Ethan and Niece Madisson. His passing will be a loss to all who knew him. A Memorial Service is being held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Norvel Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made in Adam's name to the Olivia White Hospice Home, P.O. Box 997, Flagstaff, AZ 86002.
