William Page

William Thomas Page, 30, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011.

The world was blessed when William Thomas Page was born Dec. 31, 1980 in Flagstaff, to parents, Lowell V. Page Jr. and Sallie Hayes Page. His siblings include older brother Peter Lowell "Pete" and sisters Tammye Lynn and Linda Beth.

Page grew up in Flagstaff. enjoying all that this Mountain town offered from snowboarding, hockey, swimming, soccer, baseball, taekwondo and basketball to hunting. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 33 and spent many weekends on campouts in northern Arizona, from the Grand Canyon to Lake Powell and summer camps on Catalina Island, Calif. He attended Boy Scout National Jamboree at Fort AP Hill, Va. He earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout.

He thoroughly enjoyed attending school at Marshall Elementary, Flagstaff Middle and Flagstaff High schools, graduating with the class of 1999. During his high school days, he was involved in wrestling, football, baseball and volleyball. He was an All-Star trainer, and peer mediator. He loved performing, whether it was Glamor Guys, school fashion shows, as a drummer in the Jr. High band, or singing in the FHS Choir.

Page attended Arizona Sate University and Pima Community College, where he earned a performance scholarship for the College Choir. He served as a civilian lifeguard at the Davis Monthan Air force Base near Tucson. He returned to Flagstaff, where he worked at the westside Sizzler Restaurant for several years, but he loved the warmth and sun of the desert and ultimately made his home Mesa. There he met Leo Rayburn, who helped him through some difficult times. He became a member of a strong Fellowship and provided hospice care for Rayburn and discovered that health care was his calling. He became a Certified Care Giver and worked in a hospice care home, providing support and compassion to patients and their families. He had plans to begin nursing school in the fall. Unfortunately, complications following surgery caused his death and left that dream unfulfilled.

He met the love of his life, Jandi Lynn Kulaga, his "Sunshine," whom he loved unconditionally with all his heart. They became engaged in July 2009.

He is survived by his parents, Sallie and Lowell; his fiancé, Jandi; his brother, Pete; his sister, Tammye (Steve Erb); nephews and nieces; his maternal grandmother ,LaMarr McColly Lame; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind many close and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Beth Page; grandmother Sally B. Sparks Page; grandfathers Russell Lame and Lowell V. "Judge" Page Sr.

A visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66. A service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday March 5, 2011, at the LDS Church, 2401 E. Linda Vista Drive, in Flagstaff. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery.
