Joshua,

You had the ability to light up a room. God knows that I am appreciative of the short time that we connected. You have touched so many lives in your young life. God knows that I am so happy that I had the chance to seat down and talk to you on Thanksgiving. You have changed me forever. I am going to make a greater effort to connect with family.

Until we meet again, your cousin Monique Stennis

It's best for your family to know that you are safe in Heaven, then to worry on your every move down here on Earth. All is well, for to be absent from the body, is to be present in the Spirit with God. May the works you've done speak well. Well done thy good and faithful sevant. Through some eyes you may not have been right, but in God, you're like us all, inperfect humans, that shall learn from all mistakes. Love you, even though I never met you. Watch over your family and the World as a whole! Peace! -- Signature B.

We have fond memories of Josh from Bruins football, band and other activities at JFK.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We know that he is a bright star in the heavens, shining light on the saints.

What is there to say that hasen't already been said about Josh. He was a great person to be around. I'll never forget the game when Josh jumped up in the air to give A.J. a high five after a touchdown and A.J. moved out of the way and Josh fell on the ground and got a lump on his forehead. The next monday at school our english teacher had a stick figure drawing of it on the board. Josh would come in every period and erase it and Mr. Smith would draw it back with a little bit bigger lump. By the end of the day Josh had a massive growth on his head in the picture. Good times. I guess thats what I'll rememeber most; the good times. Because when Josh was around, there was never really bad times. To the whole Turner family, it was an honor to know Josh and it was a privilege to get to play ball with him. He was a very caring and understanding individual that will not soon be forgotten. He will be missed by many. R.I.P. Josh Turner # 56.

Turner Family,
Joshua, was a caring and loving individual. In a day in age when childern are running wild, Joshua, was a young man on a path of excellence. Hard working, determined and enthusastic about life, he was by all means a role model to so many.

Our family is praying for you everyday. Your faith in the Lord will give you comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is with our heavenly father.Trust in Gods promises that he gives us. At a time like this a family must rely on each other and know that togetherness and faith will be the only thing that will bridge the hurt and pain of losing a loved one.

If there is anything my family can do for you; a prayer, a meal or just a shoulder to lean on, we are here. No request is to small or big.

To the parents: you raised a fine young man, he is definetly someone to be proud of.
To the siblings:keep each other close, dont let a day go by without speaking to each other.
To all the friends:remember the good times you shared with him.

Our hearts go out to you all,
Love you the,

Kathy and Family,

May God comfort you during this difficult time. Be strong, pray and know that Joshua is resting. The scripture below is a scripture I've found to comfort me and give me hope.

Psalms 71 vs. 19-21
Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God, you who have done great things. Who, O God, is like you? Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.

I love you always,

To the Turner Family... My heart can only begin to understand the depth of your loss. Josh was a constant source of light and love to me. I don't know who's going to tell me I'm beautiful anymore, or make me smile just because he was in the room. I know you're sitting with Jesus right now Josh, but damn, I miss you. The unconditional love you showed everyone around you will be dearly missed. I love you always and forever.

February 26, 2009

I really wanted this to not be true. I prayed hard that God would reverse it and erase it all because I know exactly how it feels when a part of you is snatched unexpectedly. But I know it's not about our will but God's will. Even still, nothing compares to the pain of this type of loss, when you can't even breathe in or out without it hurting or even swallow without feeling as if you're suffocating from the tears and frustration. I really don't know what to say, just speechless and broken is the only way I know how to put it. And to get through this, you just have to be quiet and still, listen to God, and keep remembering all the good times you shared with Josh.

To Nicole, I love you so much and I'm sorry I'm not there to physically go through this with you. But I hope you know that my heart has broken all over again because of it... If I could instantaneously take the sting away, you know I would without hesitation... I remember when we first met and I got Devanee those shoes and Josh said he wanted some too and called out his shoe size. And I was gonna get em for him... I know you can get through this baby because you're stronger than I ever was...

To the entire family, especially your mom and dad... Anthony, Isaiah, Elijah... my heart goes out to all of you and I pray for total peace... the only thing you can say in a situation like this is that God is God. And I know it's pitch dark right now, but there's a bright side somewhere... and Josh found it...

R.I.P Josh... when you run into my brother or my lil nephew or even my mom, ya'll hold it down and don't forget about us... I know you wont.

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

I briefly knew Josh while he worked as a sustitute with KCSOS. I always enjoyed seeing his smiling face as he greeted everyone with genuine kindness, Josh had such a way with the children that he worked with. I will truly miss seeing his Smile and having the chance to work with him. I feel that while he was only with us here on earth for such a short time that he truly touched many lives (young and old). Josh you will be missed by so many. To his family I am so deeply sorry for your Great Loss. May your Faith keep you Strong.

With sincere sympathy, the Turner family will be kept in my prayers for the loss of your loved one. The 1st and only time I met Josh, he put a smile on my face with his charm and sense of humor. It saddens me that his life was taken away from him at such a young age. When tragedy strikes, it's hard to see God in the situation and understand why something like this has happened to such a wonderful person. My prayer to you all is that you turn to God and let Him be your strength and support during your time of grief. When the funeral service is over...when the flowers are laid...when the friends, neighbors, and other family members are gone...GOD IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE THERE!

Dearest Turner family,
I have lost another "son" tragically. Josh was so special to our family, heck, he was a "resident" at our house . We all loved him and he touched each one of my own sons' lives in his own special way, whether it be movie night with Branden, Madden with Evan, or rapping with TJ. He loved "his kids" at work and as a special education educator myself I was so proud of his choice to work with our special needs kids. They sure loved him as he was just a "Big Chocolate Teddy bear, as his special friend Alycia would say! He loved his family so very much especially his little brother!! He loved my grandchildren and they were both just learning to say Josh, they called him "Uncka Joss". This was another SENSELESS act of violence. We are all victims. I am so deeply saddened by the loss of one great human being. We will all truly miss out to see what Joshua Turner could change in this world. He is seated at the right hand of our Father...AMEN! God Bless the WHOLE Turner family and with all our LOVE & PRAYERS, The Camargo/Sarti Families

Josh you were a great person and friend and will be missed. My heart is left empty knowing that a man like you will no longer be in this world. You loved our kids we worked with and your love and passion had no end. I love you and you always knew how to make me laugh. From my car not being washed, to my hair dos. Who am I going to watch "She's the Man" with? Who am I goign to talk about movies with? I think you were the only person who loved movies and tv as much as I do! This is a tragic loss to the world we live in today! You have made an impression in my life and all of our kids at county. My heart is and always will have a place in it for you and our memories. Don't worry I will make sure that "Ed Hardy" will stay taken care of! lol. I luv you always and forever. God I guess just needed you more than us down here. We have gotten the best part of you, and though it was not long enough, GOD brought you in to my life and others and you will never be forgoten. And to the parents of Josh you did and amazing job with your son and I had the pleasure of meeting him and I say thank you! God Bless.
