With warm memories of dear cousin Kris Busby, I ask Jay and family and Frankie and her family to please accept my condolences. Especially I am remembering Kris´ birthday last year at the Horseshoe Ranch during the Stockton Family Picnic where she was dressed in magenta pink and so full of joy and love.

When I think of Kris Busby I think of her warm smile and contagious laugh. I was fortunate to grow up knowing Kris, Jay, Jill and Jenee. In addition to our families being long time friends, they were members of our 4-H group the Sierra Mountaineers. Once a month Kris would make the hour long drive from Bakersfield to Glennville for our monthly meetings. She helped organize many of the fun events we enjoyed as kids like the yearly trip to Disneyland and many of our fundraisers. I always admired how close Kris was to her family I would often see her with her sister Frankie the two of them were often together and each would turn up to support the other´s children at 4-H events.
Our families would also see each other at Church and I admired her faith and devotion to raising her children in the Catholic Church.
I was fortunate to be a guest at the Alta Sierra Cabin a few times where we watched movies and played board games and generally just enjoyed each others company. Kris was a great host and always made everyone feel welcome. She loved to laugh at all of our youthful hijinks.
I remember once when Jill and Jenee went camping with our family at our Cabin in Tobias Meadow, being the rotten older brother I decided it would be funny to pull up the stakes on the girls tent while they were still sleeping so, my cousins and I snuck over to the tent and pulled the stakes early one morning collapsing the tent on top of the sleeping girls and soaking them with the water from the early morning dew. The girls were outraged and I´m sure found a way to get us back, I don´t remember, but I do remember Kris laughing and all of us joking about the event.
The last time I saw Kris was at my Grandpas funeral she gave me a big hug and we talked about how proud she was of her girls and grandkids. Of course Jay was right there by her side always quick with a joke and Kris just as quick with a laugh. I really didn´t even know she had been sick because she didn´t complain and didn´t let on that anything was bothering her.
I´m really sorry that I won´t be there for the funeral or the wake. I think the world of Kris and her family she and Jay have been great examples for me, my sincere condolences at this great loss.
