Mark Sheridan Obituary

Mark James Sheridan was born on May 30, 1960 to Al and Maryellen Sheridan in Cut Bank, Montana, and was called home suddenly to be with God our Father on February 12, 2016. Mark grew up in Cut Bank and moved to Bakersfield, CA in the early 80's following his dad to work in the family business, Sheridan Drilling, Inc.

In 1984, Mark met the love of his life, Veronica. They married a year later and raised 4 children that he was beyond proud of! Mark loved coaching his children's sports teams over a period of 18 years and dancing in father/daughter dances with his daughter. He was Liberty High School's biggest fan and served as President of the Football Booster Club for 8 years. You would always see Mark standing on the sidelines cheering on each one of his sons and their team. As years came and went, Mark was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren to call him Papa. Papa Mark's greatest joy was play dates with his grandkids; whether it was pushing them on the swing in the garage, spoiling them with popsicles or taking them for walks in the neighborhood. His grandkids were truly the light of his life!

Mark was so loved by everyone, and he made such an impact on many lives. Mark was always so willing to help anyone in need, day or night, and you never had to ask, he just offered.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Maryellen Sheridan. He leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Roni; his son, Jared Sheridan and wife, Jynna; his daughter, Rachel Renshaw and husband, Brent; sons Dane Sheridan and Colby Sheridan; three grandchildren, Taylee, Kirtlye and Tryson; his brother, Dennis Sheridan and wife, Deb of Bakersfield, CA; his brother, Jeff Sheridan and wife Roxi of Powell, WY; his sister, Kim Hoefner and husband, Dean of Spokane, WA, and many nieces and nephews. Mark also leaves behind many friends, both far and near, that consider him family instead of a friend.

Mark may be gone, but he will live on forever in our hearts.

On behalf of his family, we are so grateful and appreciative of all the monetary donations, meals, support and love we have received from family and friends. We are truly blessed by your generosity, and we cannot say thank you enough!

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. at New Life Church, 1300 Jewetta Avenue. Graveside services immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road. Celebration of Life will be held at The Madera Residence concluding the service.

Mark,

It has been a little over two weeks since you were called home to be with God our Father. I miss you so much! Each time I hear the garage door open to the house, I expect you to walk in and say, "Roni". As I drive away from our house and the garage door closes, I still look up as if you are going to be standing there showing me the I LOVE YOU sign! For 30 years, you have been my husband and best friend! The one who made me smile, laugh and cry; the one who listened, spoiled and loved me unconditionally, my rock. You were the most amazing and loving dad to our four children, and the best Papa in the world to Taylee, Kirtlye and Tryson. Oh, how we all miss you so! God brought you into this world for all of us, but now I guess it was time for you to go; God needs you. I pray for strength and understanding, and that you are at peace. Please shine down upon us always! Forever in our hearts, until we meet again! I love you mucho mucho, your "Brown Eyed Girl", your wife, Roni

Dennis, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families right now. Entertain only those thoughts that are good. All the things that still are funny. Don't look for the why right now, just block out the unnecessary noise and listen. In that you will find your peace. Always here if you need me.
