I first met Bede at a company baseball game. I had just been transfered from San Francisco area to Baltimore. He was one of the first individuals to help me get adjusted to the big change. He introduced me to all of his buddies at the Social security office where we both worked. I am actually a transplanted Hawaiian. I found his quite warm and slightly shy personality very familiar with our culture in Hawaii. He became our friend during our 9 year stay in Baltimore. I last saw him at my going away party. He was a great person, an intellect. He could do almost anything, that is; fix a car, fly a plane, build houses, make wine/beer, sail a boat. I said a prayer for him when I found out he passed away. God bless him. He was a great friend to many of us.
Aloha and Mahalo Nui Loa (Good bye and thank for being my friend)

Bud was my first love, the man I thought I would spend my life with. I was there when he did his first solo flight and when he taught me the value of a simple life. I will never forget him as a beautiful man and insightful friend. We were so young! Where did all those years go? I can't believe he's gone. Rest in peace, my friend. Linda
