My deepest sympathy goes out to the Castillo family. I just heard about the death of Dr. Castillo last week when my daughter called to make an appointment. Dr. Castillo delivered my 2 wonderful/healthy children. I have been a patient of his for over 23 years.

to tita norma, ate theresa, kuya brian, kuya joel & lisa, and kuya jun & mimi

i personally was surprised when i found out that i lost a tito whom i wasnt able to have a chance to hangout with. the last time i saw him was when lolo ikoy died.i was only 8 then and i was afraid to talk to him because he was so big.we all knew here that my mom loves him so much that it took us a day before we could break the news to her knowing that she would be greatly shocked.

i share in the sentiments of my mom and the whole family.eventhough i havent been with him i know that he really was a good man and i feel consoled that i now have a tito in heaven.

my prayers are always with you.

GOD BLESS!

I LOVE YOU ALL!

Dearest Ate Norma,

I felt so sad to know about the death of my dearest Kuya Cesar. He did not miss to comfort me when I lost my father and specially when I lost my husband too. I'd like to give you back what he said to me "to accept with an open heart what has happened, prepare for the life ahead of us with our children whom we love and care so much. He is now free of pain, problems and ills of this world."

I lost a loving husband and a very dear cousin in less than a year. That makes me feel very upset and I can't pretend that my sorrowful heart has pained again. My heart goes out to you and your children. My children and I extend to you and your kids our deepest sympathy and condolences. We know how it feels to lose a very loving husband and father.

We hope to see you again, when you come home to the Philippines.

Always,

Tess, Tisha, Dino & Angelo

My Uncle Cesar, my godfather was such a loving man and I can't imagine missing another uncle more. He was the best Kuya (older brother) to my mom and the best father-figure to all his brothers and sisters. He really was like a huggable bear. I remember thinking, awhile back as I watched him cook breakfast for us when we came to visit, how very much my mom and him looked alike and how cute and loveable he looked. How happy I was to have him in my life. And proud to have him as my ninong(godfather). Dear Tita Norma, Ate Theresa, Kuya Cesar, Joel, Brian, Mimi and Lisa I hope we always remain close as a family like we were this weekend. I loved being with you guys. I felt so close to all of you and it was such a wonderful feeling. I'm so glad you are my family.

Theresa and family...

Dr. Castillo was so kind and generous, so witty and humorous. And he was also so admired, respected and loved. His greatest accomplishment are his four children who will contiune his legacy of integrity, humanity, and grace. Theresa, God will carry you and your family through this time--trust in Him always. Where words of compassion fall short, i pray that God will comfort your heart. You and your family will remain in my prayers everyday.

my sincerest condolences,

lesley

To the entire Castillo Family--Thank God you are a large, close family and can lean on each other for support during this difficult time. You are all in my prayers and thoughts each day.

Dr. Castillo was the best! I have such wonderful memories of him--whether it be grilling in the backyard in Baltimore or driving around NYC after Tilly graduated from Columbia. He was so calm, so happy, always friendly and wonderfully warm. He always greeted me with a kiss and a grin I will never forget.

Peace be with you all.
