Dennis Wise Obituary

Dennis "Denny" Patrick Wise, Jr., age 49, of Sykesville, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, September 29, 2024, after six days at Carroll County Hospital. Born April 4, 1975, he was the son of Sharon Josephine (Baumgartner) Wise and the late Dennis Patrick Wise, Sr.

Denny earned a B.A. degree, and was a teacher. He was a huge supporter of the University of Alabama. He loved sports, especially football and baseball. He enjoyed the stats of the games and collecting baseball cards. Denny was a certified weather spotter and would predict his own forecast based upon the data he collected. He had a passion for animals, reading, fishing, southern sweet tea and southern cooking. He adored his two nieces Emily and Caitlyn and loved reading stories and watching movies with them.

Surviving is his mother, Sharon Josephine (Baumgartner) Wise of Sykesville; brothers, Brian David Wise and wife Crystal May Wise of Westminster, and Eric Bradley Wise of Sykesville; Uncle, Edward James Wise; nieces, Emily Rose Wise and Caitlyn Grace Wise. He was predeceased by his father, Dennis Patrick Wise, Sr.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Catholic Church, 10800 Old Court Road, Woodstock, MD 21163 at a date to be determined. The date will be posted on the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home website, once finalized.
