On July 1, 2014, GEORGE TIMOTHY BOWEN; beloved husband of Laura Bowen, loving father of Stephen and Kevin Bowen; cherished son of the late Claude and Rita Bowen; devoted son-in-law of Gladys and the late Ben Pacitto; dear brother of Claudia, Margie, Paul, Tom, and John Bowen, Sally Griffin, Sue Capozzi, Rita and Martha Bowen, and the late Fritz, Pete, William and Theresa Bowen; treasured uncle of dozens of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3 from 3-5 & 7-9PM at STERLING-ASHTON-SCHWAB-WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC.; 1630 Edmondson Avenue; Catonsville, MD 21228. A funeral service will be celebrated 10AM, Saturday, July 5 at St. John Lutheran Church; 6004 Waterloo Road; Columbia, MD 21045. Interment in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. For those desiring, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the St. John Lutheran Church at the above address.

Dear Mrs. Bowen and Kevin and Stephen,
I am very sorry to hear of George's death. My biggest remembrance is of George in his biking outfit trailing the bike thru the lobby to pickup a newspaper. He had an exuberant personality. I wish you all well.

I am so sorry to hear about George. I will always remember him smiling and laughing at the Griffin House.(of course)

My heart is heavy with the thought of George being gone from this world. We should all learn from George that life is to short and cherish every moment. He was blessed to have a wonderful wife and 2 sons and an extended family. My thoughts and tears go out to everyone.

George was a gentle soul who always sought and found the good in everyone. He was blessed to have Laura as his mate during his short time on this earth. He will be remembered as the gentleman that he was. He is now reunited with family and friends who have passed and his dog Salty...still smiling!

We will always remember George...his outgoing personality, his beautiful smile, and the fullness with which he loved life. May God hold him in His loving arms 'til we're all reunited in heaven. I pray for the peace which surpasses all human understanding for Laura, Stephen and Kevin, extended family, and for all of us who feel this loss so deeply in our hearts.
