On August 29, 2014, George Rabinek; beloved husband of Roberta Rabinek (nee Bransky); cherished father of Sue (Jeff) Jensen, David (Judith) Rabinek, Robert (Sandra) Rabinek, Mauria (Michael) Ross, and Rina Kaplan; devoted brother of Lili (Eliezer) Ayal and Vera (Elliott) Aronson; also survived by eight loving grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane on Sunday, August 31, at 2 pm. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery - Berrymans Lane. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or U.S. Holocaust Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place S.W., Washington, DC 20024. In mourning at 6718 Old Pimlico Road, Baltimore, MD 21209.

I am sad to learn George passed a way Geprge and myself were liberated together from the concentration camp called Wobelin on may 2nd 1945. I am now 94 years old in fairly acceptable health. we olso came to de US on the same ship arriving in New York in January 1947 George came with his sister.Ido not remember her name. I am desponded to realized so many friends and acquaintances are no longer with us. If you read this message, My very best to your family. Sincerely Lester Schonstal.

Dear Roberta,
I am so sorry for your loss. My own exposure to George was limited and only in the last few months of his life - but even so, from everything you told me it would have been an honor and a privilege to know him better. In as much as I know you will miss him immensely, let the love you shared and the memories of all the good times you had together give you comfort and stay with you forever. With love, Rita
