Katherine Zink Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Katherine Noel (Link) Zink announces her death on November 28, 2024, after a long, heartbreaking decline with vascular dementia. Kathy was born on December 20, 1948, in Baltimore, MD, the youngest of 4 siblings. She was a graduate of Parkville High School, class of 1966, and spent the majority of her working life in federal service with the US Food and Drug Administration. Kathy was a natural hostess and enjoyed entertaining friends and family at many parties in her home, especially her Christmas Day Open House. She was also an avid boater with her husband, Conrad (aka Bear), and enjoyed spending many weekends on Maryland's Eastern Shore. She also loved crafting, attending craft fairs, and collecting anything bear related. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad; her parents, Carl and Virginia; her sister, Ginger; and her brother, Carl. She will be remembered by her sons, Richard (Sarah) and Michael (Susan) and grandchildren Isabel, Savannah, Eli, and Abram, all of NC; her sister Bonnie Lepore, of Towson, MD; and dear cousins and friends. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, December 29, at 1:00 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 227 East Rosemary St., Chapel Hill, NC, with a brief reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation or the Dementia Society of America.

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Katherine. I know Michael, her youngest son, from high school, and spent time at the Zink house in Ellicott City. I have fond memories of those visits. May she rest in peace. My thoughts are with her family.

To my favorite person to shop all those craft festivals with. Boy did we have some fun.
I´m sure that you and Conrad are on that big boat cruising to the next big adventure. I know you´re at peace now. You will be so missed and forever loved.

Meine liebste Mutter,

Dein liebender Sohn,

Michael
