Heartfelt condolences to Mike's family. I only knew him through LTRC; he was always very kind to a single mother signing her son up for soccer and lax.

For all of us growing up in Bel Air in the 60's, Mike was one of those special people we all hoped our sons would become. He excelled in everything and was always humble. May God bless his family and give them strength.

There wasn't anything he couldn't do. He was Bel Air High School's Class of 66's brightest shining star. With a ready smile and always a helping hand, Michael defined his office of Class President. I was lucky to have known him and learn from his graciousness and generosity. Truly a "human being." Sincere condolences for his family and colleagues.

On behalf of my family, I would like to express my sincere condolences to Michael's family. I have fond memories of coaching soccer in LTRC's program, and the support that Michael always provided, particularly with Meriel on my first LTRC team. He was well liked by everyone who knew him and I feel honored that I had a chance to know him. He will be missed.

Mike was one of the most honest and trustworthy people I met at Amherst College. I figured that out early while sitting around a dorm room with a bunch of guys freshman year when the topic turned to members of the opposite sex. Whereas many guys exaggerated their experience, Mike was very comfortable stating how little experience he had. I knew then that he could be trusted to state the truth, even when it was unpopular. Nothing that happened in four years ever changed that initial opinion. I always enjoyed my reunions with Mike, and I am very sad there will be no more.

Mike was one of a kind, unlike anyone else I ever knew. I will never forget the summer we spent together camping all over Europe. The world is a little bit poorer for the loss of his warmth, humor, and grace.

Michael put the "gentle" in gentleman. I was lucky to get to know Michael through LTRC soccer when my son, John, was 10 in 1997-98. He gave John a tremendous amount of confidence that propelled him to continue to play in high school and, next year, in college. Michael always had time to say hello and spend a few minutes when John played against St. Paul's. He always had a positive comment to John about the game. My heart goes out to his family. He was a very special man.

My heart goes out to Sian and to their children and Michael's extended family and friends. Michael painted life with a very broad brush; his spirit and energy engaged all he encountered. His wit and smile made law school more bearable; that impish grin will continue to make my heart lighter as I play the pictures of that long ago time back in my mind. Peace to all. My heart and prayers go out to Sian and all of Mike's family. I was hoping to see Mike at our 35th class reunion in Amherst next month. I will always remember Mike as a wonderful giving person who was always fun to be around. The summer of '69 when Mike and I worked with the "ABC" Program at Amherst will always be a special memory for me -- and Mike did a lot to make it very special.
