Sue Bounds

Sue (Dorothy Ann) Reichlin Bounds, 86, of Timonium, MD, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 5, 2022. Sue grew up in Baltimore and graduated from Forest Park High School. She attended Washington College in Chestertown, where she met the love of her life, Tom Bounds, her husband of 66 years. As a young army wife, she moved with Tom to Frankfurt, Germany in 1957, where her daughter Kathleen was born. After moving back to the states, she relocated to Salisbury, MD, had her second child Bill, and became a stay-at-home mom for several years. Unlike most women of the time, Sue elected to return to school to finish her B.A., and then got a master's degree in early childhood education. She taught kindergarten for many years, followed by a stint as a child play therapist. Sue loved to travel and instilled that love in her children and grandchildren. She was fortunate enough to see most of the U.S. and many beautiful places in Europe, including her favorite, Switzerland's Bernese Oberland, where she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by family.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, who left us in January. She is survived by her children; Kathleen Bounds Smith of Timonium, MD, William (and Diana) Bounds, of Pasadena, MD, and 3 grandchildren; Andrew Warren Smith, Rebecca Ann Smith, and Arianna Sienna Bounds.
