I went to high school with Bill, although he didn't know me. I am very surprised that he is gone. I remember him as studious and very kind, involved in everything! He was a fine gentleman, I knew even then. This is very sad, and I grieve with his family. I wonder if Jon Clarke knows about Bill.

It was with surprise and saddness that I learned today of Billy's death; he truly was one of the kindest men I've ever met. I never see a pink rose that I don't think of him and his tenderness toward Mrs. Cooper.

May the God of all comfort be with the family in your time of sorrow. Our Heavenly Father assures us that He will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more. I offer my sincere condolences to you all.

As Bill's roommate during his freshman and sophomore years at Hamilton College, and as a friend of Bill's for his four years at Hamilton, I would like to express my deepest condolences to Bill's family and friends. I nave not kept in touch with Bill over the years, but I do fondly recall his good humor and kindness. I am saddened by his passing.
