William Walter Obituary

William (Bill) Walter, lovingly known as the Hawk, of Baltimore, Maryland, born July 20, 1944, passed away on December 9, 2022; Beloved son of Julius and Helen Walter, loving husband to Carolyn Walter; devoted father to Shawn Walter, married to Annette Campagna Walter; and Spencer Walter. Cherished grandfather to Wyatt Walter and Jamison Walter; loving brother to Helen (Skipper) Sikorsky and dear uncle to Mary Ann Nietubicz, Carolyn Smith, and Fr. Charles Sikorsky.

Bill had a great sense of humor --- always making those around him laugh and bringing smiles to everyone's faces. Bill was one of a kind, known for his bright style and loyal friendship. He was a caring and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He always enjoyed playing golf with friends at BCC and visiting 25th street in Ocean City, Maryland. His biggest pride and joy was spending precious time with his grandsons. He poured everything into them. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 12:00-3:00PM at the Baltimore Country Club, Five Farms. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in honor of the Hawk for his grandson, Wyatt, to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Dear Carolyn,
Just this morning, my daughter, Lisa told me about Bill's passing a couple of weeks ago. I had no idea and am so very sorry for you and your family - Shawn and Spencer. Bill was just a great guy and I always loved being around him. I hope that the memories you have of him will help you to come thru this difficult period.
With sadness and sincere sympathy.

I loved "Uncle Billy". He wasn´t my real uncle, but my dearest, oldest friend, Carolyn Sikorsky´s uncle. Even when I would just run into him in the grocery store I would greet him as "Uncle Billy." He was such a character! Always made me laugh. Always seemed to have a funny story.
Peace and prayers to "Aunt Carolyn", Shawn & Annette, Spencer, Skipper, Mary Ann, Father Charles, and my dear friend Carolyn. Love to all.
