Galen (Jake) Ronald Jones, 69

Galen (Jake) Ronald Jones, 69, was born on March, 20, 1947 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Jake went home to be with our Lord on May 16, 2016.

Mary Ellen Jones is his surviving wife of twenty plus years. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Alyce Jones of Catasauqua, Pennsylvania.

Other survivors are his sister, Karen Krasnansky (Steve) of Coplay, Pennsylvania; nephew, Michael Krasnansky (Lori) and their children, Kyle, Alyssa and Jason; uncle, Donald (Fran), and two aunts, Jean and Perma (Don) of Pennsylvania; step-children, Brigette Rodriguez (Chris) and their sons, Anthony and Nicholas of Colorado, Rocky Walon Reed and Bobo Reed (Patti) of California; step-grandchildren, Matt (Raquel) and their son and daughter, Matthew, Jr. and Larissa, Andrew (Alissa) and their son and daughter Skylar and Peyton and Adam (Samantha) and their son, Colton and numerous cousins.

Jake was a devout Christian man, first and foremost. He was always singing God's praises, literally. His Gospel music was an awesome gift that he took full advantage of. He served the Lord as part of the Angel Tree Ministry in Arizona. He served in his church as a deacon (for ten years), choir director, usher, sound man, shut-in ministry, meals ministry and assisting anywhere he was needed. He served as part of the Angel Tree Ministry in Arizona.

Jake worked in the steel industry in Pennsylvania. He served as a game warden in Pennsylvania for ten years. He moved to Arizona and started his own cleaning business. In 1995 he met his wife, Mary Ellen, in Pinetop, Arizona. They married on December 20, 1995. He worked in the sheriff's office as a dispatcher in Pinetop and Holbrook, Arizona. He had his own art store in Pinetop, Arizona. He started his own business, "Barn Wood Impressions", building barn wood frames and furniture. He moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas in June of 2003 and continued his business there. He retired on March 20, 2012.

His real sporting love was fishing, especially catfish. Jake expressed God's creations in his oil paintings.
