Shawn Podolski Obituary
He was born May 8, 1947, in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Frank and Virginia Rose Podolski. He married Linda Lind on Sept. 19, 1975, in Moline, Illinois.
Shawn worked as a engineer for a petrochemical plant in Iowa . Shawn was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He lived in Lakeview since moving from Moline in 2001 and was a member of the Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church and several bass fishing clubs.
Shawn loved building and creating things with wood especially for his family, and the man never met a stranger.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Linda Podolski of Lakeview; daughters Peyton Keiller and Julie (Mike) Miner of Moline; grandchildren Alex Keiller of Denver, Colorado, Erin Geyer of Lakeview, Arkansas, and Trae Geyer of Moline; and his furry best friends, schnauzers Deiter and Max and grandcat, Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Podolski.
A memorial service for Shawn will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church, with Pastor Sherman Gordius officiating.
Memorials may be made to Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church or Have a Heart Pet Shelter.
