On Tuesday May 17, 2016 Tom Hyle quietly and peacefully, joined his sister, mother and father in our Savior's kingdom of heaven.Tom was born May 25th, 1938 in Anniston, AL and passed from this life in Georgetown, TX knowing the love of his wife of 56 years, Nancy, their three children, Gail, Steve and Kelly, Steve's wife Tricia and Kelly's husband Jim, their grandchildren, Madison, Alyssa, Landon, Lane and Lyra as well as other family members and many friends. In addition to his family and friends, Tom's life included two careers. His first as an engineer with NASA from 1961 to 1987 then a high school math teacher from 1987 until his second retirement in 1995 when he and his wife moved to Lago Vista, however, being in his heart a mentor and teacher with a love for sharing knowledge, Tom frequently taught classes at Austin Community College as well as occasionally tutoring students.Tom was a devout Christian, as is his wife Nancy, and their faith led them on many mission trips spreading the word of Christ not only at home but around the globe. Along with traveling for pleasure and faith, Tom also loved playing tennis and played regularly with friends. As much as his passing pains us, we celebrate the life of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend and are joyful in the knowledge that he is now with God. A private ceremony and interment is scheduled for May 21st, 2016 in Georgetown Texas. A memorial service for family and friends will take place in Lago Vista at Rolling Hills Community Church at 1pm May 25th, what would have been Tom's 78th birthday. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Philip Timothy Stains Memorial Children's Home. This home is an orphanage in India that Tom and Nancy visited on a mission trip and have donated to ever since. Contributions should be made out to PTSMCH and mailed to PTSMCH c/o June Lacey 227 Comanche Lane, Pt. Venture, TX 78645. Additionally, on the memo line, please note "In memory of Tom Hyle".

Uncle,
I am really very much grateful to you for all your humbleness as well as for all of your generosity that you actually acknowledged my hard work and also made it so very worthwhile just by helping me with this sponsorship.
I was really very much furious to say you a big thanks for all that trust, as well as all that faith in me which actually made you my very sponsors.
Tom uncle was an amazing friend, A great soul and exceptional human being.
Uncle, The pain of losing you is immeasurable. Though you are not present here with all of us but your memory is stored on our mind.
I miss you every day Uncle, and I pray you are able to see my accomplishments and even my sorrows. To feel that you are still present in my life and supporting me from Heaven helps.
Rest peacefully in heaven!
