Kevin Wix Obituary
Kevin was born in Milford the son of Joyce (Donovan) and Bruce Norman Wix. He was a graduate of Lake Forest High School class of 1988. Kevin was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served the community as a Police Officer for the towns of Bridgeville, Wyoming and Harrington before having to leave the force due to illness. Kevin was a member of the wrestling team in high school. While he was stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany, Kevin was an avid rugby player. He loved to play soccer, enjoyed fishing, hunting and target shooting. Kevin was a strong, free spirited caring man and was a fighter all throughout his illness. He loved people and would give the shirt off his back if he met someone in need. He was a devoted family man, a loving father, son and brother, all of who he cared about very deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Norman Wix.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Dylan Wix and Andreas Wix; his brother, Nathan Wix and his wife, Jennifer; his half brother, Justin Wix Zook; half sister, Nikki Wix Zook; his paternal grandmother, Katherine Wix; and the mother of his children, Marina Wix.
A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington, where friends may visit with the family from 6 to 7 p.m.. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Legion C.K.R.T. Post #7, 17448 South DuPont Highway, Harrington, DE 19952. Letters of condolence may be sent and shared with the family at www.loflandandmcknatt.com.

Coming up on 8 years of your passing, you are always in my heart & I miss you every single day. Dylan & his family is coming to visit me for a few days, I am so excited to see them along with our boy Lucas, you would be so proud of Dylan. He is a hard worker & very devoted to his family. Andreas is visiting his Mom in Greece & is doing very well. You have two wonderful boys. Love & miss you so much.

Well, my son, it´s been seven years today since we put you to rest seems like yesterday. I´m sure you´re watching over all of us and that you know That both of your boys are doing well, I´m sure you´re proud of both of them. I wish you were here to witness the happiness of Dylan and Brittany and their new baby boy Lucas. As Dylan says, Lucas has changed my life, and it´s true when you have a child it does change your life and offer the better. Andreas is doing well too his man fine young lady. We call her Liz and he´s a good cook and likes to garden, I think he´s thinking about moving out of the city soon, we shall see. Keep a watch over all of us and know that you´re loved and missed very much and we will meet again Someday.

Well, my son, you would be so full of joy to learn that you would be a grandfather come December `23. Dylan & Brittany are on cloud nine to welcome their little one at that time. Of course, I´ve started shopping already, I am so excited for them. Andreas is doing well & does a lot of traveling; enjoying life.
I miss you every single day of my life but I know you are out of pain & are in a better place which comforts me. We will see each other again someday! All my love, Mom

Well, my sweet boy, it is 5 years today that you left us. My heart still aches and I think of you often. Your boys are all grown up and are such a fine young men, you would be so proud. Dylan is so much like you that it´s scary, looks like you talks like you and my gosh he loves to eat like you. Andreas is very much like his mom in looks and he´s so darn smart, he´s doing so well in life. I miss you with all of my heart but I know your out of pain & at peace. Kevin and I were classmates in high school and spent 3 years together on the wrestling team. While we each went our separate ways and lost contact, I saw him again about 10 years ago at the Delaware State Fair. Kevin was the same friendly extrovert that I recalled. He remains interwoven among the many of the memories of my youth. And while the details have faded over the years, the theme of all recollections involving Kevin remains clearlaughter. Even when at the receiving end of a jab or joke, Kevin was always all smiles. I count myself richer for having known him and for having been known by him. Im confident he enriched the lives of more people than any of us will know this side of Heaven.
