Bailey Real Obituary

Bailey Scott Real
Born: December 10, 1998
Died: May 18, 2025
HENRY – Bailey Scott Real, 26, of Henry, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
He was born on December 10, 1998, in Peoria, IL, at Methodist Hospital to Greg and Tammy Real. Bailey was raised in Wyoming, IL, and graduated from Stark County High School. He worked as an operator for Pavement Maintenance Services and spent his offseasons helping on a local cattle farm, where he found great joy in the outdoors and hard work.
Bailey had a smile that could light up any room and a heart big enough to hold everyone he loved. A gentle giant, Bailey was the kind of person you could always count on – steadfast, selfless, and full of love.
He brought joy wherever he went, never one to pass up a good time or turn down a Busch Lite. His laugh was infectious, his presence magnetic, and his spirit unmatched.
One of the deepest bonds Bailey had was with his dog, Shaddow. She wasn't just a pet – she was his baby, his constant companion, and a true part of his heart.
Bailey felt most alive outdoors – whether he was hunting, fishing, or cruising on a side-by-side, nature was his happy place. He was never afraid of hard work and found true satisfaction in his job, whether he was on his roller, in a tractor, or working cattle on the farm.
Bailey is survived by his girlfriend, Kennedi Salz of Henry, IL; his parents, Greg and Tammy Real of Wyoming, IL; his sister, Brooke Heaton (Taylor Beck), and his nieces and nephews, Sydnee and Jaxon Parker, and Bristol Beck, all of Chillicothe, IL; his sister, Ashley Heaton and Shona Clay of Yelm,WA; his brother, Cody Heaton of Henry, IL; and his grandparents, Bill and Carol Real of Henry, IL, and Frank and Kathy Mason of Bradford, IL.
He was preceded in death by his girlfriend's father, Steve Salz.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Calvert & Johnson Funeral Home in Henry. A memorial service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a celebration of life at the Marshall-Putnam Fairgrounds.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Marshall-Putnam Fair in honor of Bailey.
