Born: January 14, 1970
Died: February 7, 2025
Marc Basile, 55, of Spring Valley, IL, passed away in his home on February 7, 2025.
Marc was born to James and Arlene Basile and raised in Ohio, IL until graduating from Ohio High School in 1988. Marc was Assistant Manager at Crown Lanes Centre in Princeton for most of his adult life. He helped his dad run the bowling alley including day-to-day operations, technical support for the computer systems and keeping the lanes ready to bowl.
Marc married Cynthia (Clark) Basile on July 4, 2017 in Princeton, Illinois and lived in Spring Valley the rest of his life. Besides bowling, Marc loved fishing, video games, his dogs and his family. He loved being outdoors and was often seen walking around town.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia of Spring Valley; one brother, Michael (Grace Huang) Basile of Seattle, WA; one sister, Michelle Basile of Lake Zurich, IL, and a nephew, Jacob Basile Reese of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be from 4:00pm- 6:00pm with words of remembrance starting at 6:00pm on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton, IL. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be made in Marc's memory.

Marc had a troublesome gas powered lawnmower that always gave him problems starting at the end of winter. I will miss helping him work on the mower every spring.
