Larry Lotter Obituary

Larry L. Lotter

Larry Leon Lotter went to be with his heavenly father on Feb. 19, 2018. Larry was born on June 25, 1937 to Frank and Cora Lotter. He grew up in the Auburn area. On June 22, 1968, he was united in marriage to Lena (Rieken) Bohling. They later moved to the Beatrice area. Larry worked at Reinke Manufacturing in Hebron until he became disabled in 1986. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and woodworking. He also enjoyed sitting on the front porch, watching the cars along with the birds.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lena of Beatrice; his daughters, Jennifer (Dave) Diehl of Beatrice, Rhonda Bohling of Beatrice and Lisa (Art) Monfelt of Barneston; his sons, Kevin (Lisa) Bohling of Beatrice, Bryan Bohling of Johnson and Larry R. Lotter of Washington state; his grandchildren, Cody (Amber) Stiefvater of Beatrice, Kenzie (Joel) Bruggemann of Beatrice, Jessica (Clay) Sapp of Osceola, Emily (Justin) Hollis of Columbus, Taylor Cornelius of Norfolk, Dylan and Connor Diehl of Beatrice; his sister, Phyllis Holland of Nebraska City; his brother, Wayne Lotter of Tennessee; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deb Smith; his son-in-law, Charles Smith; two sisters; and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice, with Sharon Schuster officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel on Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
