Jackie Harris Obituary
Jackie passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Timberidge Nursing and Rehab in Jasper, Texas.
A native of the Farrsville Community in Newton County, former resident of Beaumont, Texas and longtime resident of Jasper, Texas. Jackie was a member of Peachtree Baptist Church in Jasper, Texas. She was employed at Straughn Electronics in Beaumont where she met Ed Harris who she married on August 21, 1964. She was later the Office Manager/Dental Assistant for Doctor Tommy Quick until her retirement. Jackie volunteered in Hospitals in Beaumont and enjoyed Sunday school and helping with social events at her Church. She was a very caring, kind hearted person who loved people.
Jackie is survived by her brother, Leon "Lee" Mahfouz, Jr. and wife Carole; sister, Patsy Gail Mahfouz; brother-in-law, Jackie Dale Bond; nephews, Craig Dale Bond and wife Jodi Lynn Mahfouz and Jarrod Mahfouz and wife Sarah; nieces, Rebecca Mahfouz and husband Matt Carlson and Belinda Bond Lishewski and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Albert and Eula Mae Mahfouz; husband of 55 1/2 years, William Edward Harris and sister-in-law, Agnes Harris Bond.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.

My condolences to her family. I remember Jackie from Dr. Quick's dental office. She was such a sweet lady, and I always enjoyed visiting her when I was there. She will be missed.
