Robert Roberts Obituary

Robert Winton Rob Roberts, 71, of Kountze died Monday, July 16, 2007 at his residence. Rob was born December 22, 1935 to Sam and Martha (Winton) Roberts in Beaumont, Texas. He was a resident of Kountze for forty -seven years and previously lived in Lafayette and Nashville. Rob retired as branch manager from Fleming Foods having previously worked for The Stedman Company and Malone and Hyde. He was a faithful member of Kountze Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane, with whom he had just celebrated 50 years of marriage; children, Laura Lee Barner and husband Bill of Kountze, Carl Winton Roberts of Lafayette, and Katherine Jane Waldrop and husband Gary of Lumberton; grandchildren, Kaleb Joshua Barner, Kody Benjamin Barner, Sean Michael Locust, Bailey Ann Waldrop, and Beau Winton Waldrop; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Sam Swinford Roberts, Jr. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Kountze Church of Christ, 1035 N. Pine, Kountze under the direction of Broussard's in Kountze with burial to follow at Holland Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Rob's memory to Holland Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 1974, Kountze, Texas 77625 or Kountze Church of Christ, P.O.
