Uncle Bobby:

Words can't even describe what I have felt the past month. Talking to you on the phone while I was in class was a hard thing for me to do. The reason I say that there are no words to describe what I feel, is because you already know exactly what I mean by it. Teresa was loved by the entire Fillyaw and Smith families. She will not go unforgotten. We all know that she is looking down on us now. Probably taking care of my Grandfather and Uncle Walter. For over a year now it seems that the sun hasn't shined bright over Texas. I'm always here for you, as you know. I love you, and call anytime if you need anything.

Bobby and Marshall,
What a week you’ve had.........like a bad dream in a whirlwind. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know that your lives have just been changed forever. Theresa was the sweetest blessing to the both of you as well as all who knew her and will be missed tremendously. As Pastor Bradley reminded us, we were all shocked and saddened but God was not, He has taken her to the place He had already prepared for her. Those who know Jesus and have that relationship with Him, as Theresa did, will see her again and oh what a day that will be! Know that there are so many friends and family here for you to help you get through this most difficult time, all you need to do is reach out to any one of us or tell us all to leave you alone for awhile. I’m praying and know that God will be your strength, your source and your comfort today and forever! I’m so thankful that God saw fit to cross my path in this life with Theresa’s. She was a very special and sweet woman of faith and will never be forgotten! Love and prayers, Shirley Zimmerman and family

To all signing this book. Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement, memories shared and prayers offered on our behalf. Theresa was the sweetest and best thing that ever happened in my life and her passing will leave a void in our lives that will be difficult to replace. I can only take comfort in the fact that she was a woman of amazing faith and I know that I will see her there soon. I hope all will continue to keep us in your prayers and may God bless and keep each of you.

I met Mrs. Fillyaw after subbing in her class only for a half a day on a Friday, she called me the Sunday afterward, she wanted to make sure everything was ok, and she was so kind, everytime afterward when she saw me she always asked how I was doing, she always acknowleged me when she saw me and smiled, that made a lasting impact on me... God Bless your family... We now have a angel at LCE...

To the Fillyaw family-
I am very sorry for your loss. My daughter, Kaylee, was in her second grade class this year. I know Mrs. Fillyaw loved her job of teaching. It was very obvious after the Thanksgiving play that she and her kids put on this year. She was so very proud.I know all that knew her will miss her, but please have comfort knowing the gloroius place she is now.

To Mrs. Fillyaw's family,
My husband and I don't know anyone but Mrs. Fillyaw. She taught my granddaughter, Sydney Smith, in the second grade at LCM. Sydney introduced me to her on meet the teacher day last August. Although Sydney is in the third grade this year, she realy loved Mrs. Fillyaw. Sydney was absolutely devastated about her teacher's death. Please know that so any children were blessed to have had her as a teacher. We will keep you in our prayers.

I will always remember our tea party baby shower we had the day before Theresa passed away. I will also remember how much she loved tea, and her dog Bingo. She was a wonderful teacher and friend. When I was out sick for three days, she gave me a card. It is hanging in my classroom. I will miss her!
