Ardell Lydia Vogt, 89, of Columbia, Ill., born June 6, 1918, in Maeystown, Ill., passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at Oak Hill Care Center, Waterloo, Ill.
Ardell was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, Ill., the Women's Guild and Kitchen Committee and a past Cub Scout Leader. She retired after 20 years from Durrer's
Dairy Freeze in Columbia, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo W. Vogt, whom she married on Oct. 1, 1940, in St. Louis, Mo., and who passed away Dec. 31, 2004; her parents, Henry and Augusta, nee Hoffmann, Mueller; a son-in-law, Henry Gasser; granddaughter, DeeAnn Wienhoff; sister, Mildred Berneking; and brothers, Robert and Nelson Mueller; and a grandson-in-law, Chad Shearer.
Surviving are her children, Lorraine (Harvey) Hoffmann of Waterloo, Ill., Delores (Vernon) Wienhoff of Millstadt, Ill., Arlene Vogt of Columbia, Ill., Erlene Gasser of Millstadt, Ill., Jay R. (Judy) Vogt of Waterloo, Ill., Melvin H. Vogt of Waterloo, Ill., Carol (James) Eames of Columbia, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother and sisters, Pearl (Michael) Halloran of Columbia, Ill., Ralph (Helen) Mueller of Columbia, Ill., Twila Hankammer of Columbia, Ill.; and a sister-in-law, Viola Mueller Roos.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, Ill., with Rev. Bob Goddard officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, Ill.
