Troy, Illinois - Charles "Butch" Horner, 69, of Troy, IL; born March 5, 1953, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Butch was a Star Route driver for the U.S. Postal Service and a Foreman for Overcash Electric, Inc. in Mooresville, NC.
Butch was a free spirit and did what he wanted to do when he wanted to do it all of his life. He was a self-proclaimed "Bad Ass Ol'" biker who loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Charles Horner, stepmother, Joyce Horner; stepfather, Lawrence Buklad; brothers, Robert "Buck" Buklad and Charles "Mooch" Horner; and his grandparents, Albert (Wilma) Foster and Jesse (Ethel) Horner.
He is survived by his loving fiancé, Debbie Carmack.

Also surviving are his mother, Virginia Buklad; sons, Craig (Dawn) Horner, Jeremy (Caleb) Horner, Nathan (Hannah) Horner, Lucas Statham and Greg Valdez; brothers, Steve (Michele) Buklad, David Buklad and Richard (Melissa) Horner; sisters, Gail (Rick) Buklad, Lauri Buklad and Toni (Ray) Choate; grandchildren, Brandie Horner, Nicholaus (Megan) Horner, Dennis Monnier, Miranda Statham, Hayden Walker, Kamdyn Switzer, Kayla, Dylan, Samantha and Alison; great grandchildren, Khalia, Kaiyah, Titan and Andrew; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; his best friend, Denny (Mary) Wise; and long-time friends Wayne Kaminski and Debbie "Indian" Altman.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gregory Simmons for the amazing support and care he gave Butch throughout the years.
In lieu of a formal funeral, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
