Kasey Eggleston Obituary

Kasey Lynn Eggleston passed away Friday, November 6th in Deming, Washington from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was born August 11th in Missoula Montana to Terry Eggleston and Terease Dewey. She spent her early years raised in the Montana before moving to the Bellingham, Washington area. Kasey's love of the outdoors was apparent through the activities she did. She loved her hikes, camping, and quad riding with her Mom. They also enjoyed their "Fat Friday Nights," which many times included her friends. She loved going to Barnes and Noble to get a new book or just hang out and read. She was an avid reader who had a room full of books. Kasey was lucky enough to be able to work side by side with her Mom at Whatcom Chiropractic, a job she truly enjoyed. Her trips to Alaska were always a highlight in her life. There she enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and seeing the moose. She enjoyed their glacier watching trips. And driving her dad's truck. Most of all she enjoyed just hanging out with "Daddy." Kasey had a huge family that meant the world to her. She enjoyed the family gatherings. You could always find her in the middle of whatever commotion was going on at the time. What she brought to the family will never be duplicated -- her beautiful smile, warm heart, and love for all will be greatly missed. Kasey had a style of her own and only she could pull off flannel shirts, Carhartts, bandannas and Romeos and still look so pretty. Her friends were such a huge part of her life. The times they shared will always be remembered. She could always count on her friends to be there for her. Kasey and Kyle shared a very close and loving relationship. Kasey was looking forward to her high school graduation and starting the next chapter in her life. She had plans to study to become a marine biologist where she could put to use her love of all creatures. Her dog Lilo was her buddy who will be lost without his snuggle partner. You may share your memories of Kasey online at www.valleyfuneralandcremationservice.com Kasey is survived by her father, Terry Eggleston of Anchorage, Alaska, her mother, Terease Dewey of Everson, Washington, brother Kyle (Bub) Eggleston, grandparents Bill and Ruth Dewey and Norma Eggleston, aunts and uncles Karen, Keith and Peggy, Cliff and Beth, Laurie and Tom, Lisa and Lee, Bill, Sherry, Lora and Lance, Earl, Jerry and Rene, and 34 cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Floyd Eggleston and cousin Darci Ercanbrack. A celebration of Kasey's life will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 5:00 pm at the Deming Log Show Grounds, 3295 Cedarville Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kasey Lynn Eggleston Memorial Fund at Whatcom Educational Credit Union, 600 East Holly Street, Bellingham, 360-676-1168.
