I was so very sorry to hear of his passing! Coach Ramsay to me , What a great coach, father figure ,Prince of a Guy, To do what he did back in 66 start the Wrestling Team , at Ferndale , I can still remember his cross face and those hairy fore arms. He helped me in so many ways become the person I became. He will be missed.

Very sad to learn of Ray's passing. He was a great teacher and coach and wonderful person. I'm sure I gave him more than one set of white knuckles as I stood over a putt on the 18th green in a HS golf tournament. I'm very glad I had a chance to meet him. Rest in peace Ray!

He taught me how to drive. I always bet against him when the Cougars would face the Huskies. I will never forget the light in his eyes. He was such an awesome uncle.

Mr. Ramsay was a wonderful teacher; he was encouraging, calm and patient, caring, and thorough. I think I still hear his voice in my head as I'm out driving around the roads in Whatcom County; I'm sure he made our little corner of the world safer by sending out good drivers. I think many of us remember the driving simulator and the comedian in the back of the room monitoring all of our new driver mistakes: Oops Leslie! You should have braked a little sooner, you just totaled that car in front of you! And I'll never forget the day one of my fellow mild-mannered driving students accidentally tore out of a gravelled intersection. He made her pull over and he sat there for several minutes laughing so hard tears were running down his cheeks. You had to love him!
I'm sure that warmth and humor will be missed by those close to him and I pray that the Lord comforts you all in this time of loss. I'm so thankful that he was a part of my growing up years, never to be forgotten.
