I met Steve at a party at my cousin's house. After we talked for a while, I learned that, although retired, he still helped seniors. My mom needed a ramp for her wheelchair. He did good work, and I still remember his proud, laughing face when he said, "And it's almost ADA-compliant!" (It was a difficult space to fit the ramp in.) He also found a way to add a walk-in tub to a very tight master bathroom. These two additions made the last three years of my mother's life much easier. I will always be grateful to him for the work he did for her.

Sending deepest sympathies to Pat and family. I knew Steve through our mutual friend Sandy Bortner. Steve always made me laugh and gave me a big hug whenever I ran into him! Steve was also a friend to my younger brother through the Construction world. I will never forget his humor and that smile! God Bless, Debbie Wilson

So sorry to see Steve's passing. When ever I seen him I always had a good laugh with him. The last few times I seen him was at doctor Austin's office and I had my little dog with me and he went outside and got his little dog to show me. The big man with a marshmallow heart. He will be truly missed. My thoughts go out to the family . God bless you all .

Steve built a ramp for my mom so she could stay in her house after she became wheelchair-bound. And he always had a good story to tell. I will miss him. My deepest condolences to his family.

So sad that Steve is gone. I will always remember our growing up years as his family was a big part of ours. He and my brother, Gary Rusing, were good friends for so long. Steve, along with Gordie Laird, were a big help to me after my husband Jim died. I will never forget him, his kindness and sense of humor. My best to Pat and all the family. Judy Ryan
