Remembering Tom--
--Tom and I were faculty members at BHS for about 25 years until I retired in 1987
--We were rafting partners for many years on the annual faculty Nooksack river floating event (we never got wet--we were careful!)
--Tom and I did a couple "road trips" in my '76 little brown Vega--as far as Las Vegas & San Diego
--Tom and I started the annual Blaine SD Christmas breakfast in 1969 (which I think is still going)
--So I have had many smiles--which will continue--

So sorry to hear about your Dad, he was one of my favorites in school always smiling and laughing, never took it to serious. My sincerest condolences.

A smile...Yes! Mr. Wenzl was and will always remain a bright light in my memories of Blaine High School (remedial)Math classes. I struggled and he encouraged - constantly. Small town American life meant knowing his home and spending time with his children who I call friends...Kathy, Chris and Tom. The happy memories are many of your Dad. Please know that you are all in my thoughts at this difficult time.

When I think of Mr. Wenzl my face immediately goes into a smile. A special man. My condolences to his family.

My condolences to Tom, Kathy, Chris and the rest of the family. I will remember Mr. Wenzl as the teacher who always answered a question with a question. He encouraged all to think, not have answers handed to them. I remember the time my Dad and I went to help build the A-frame cabin on hood canal I believe. Fun family times as kids. My thoughts are with your family.
