Doris Haley Obituary
She was born in North Adams on June 12, 1928 a daughter of Herbert and Eva (Chalifoux) Blake. She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1946. Doris was employed in her earlier years at the Blackinton Mills and Wall Streeter Shoe Co. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Doris was a member of the Pownal Volunteer Fire Dept., Ladies Auxiliary and the Pownal Historical Society. Her husband Francis E. "Pa" Haley whom she married March 1, 1947 died September 19, 2005. Survivors include her son, Francis E. "Skip" Haley II (Beverly) of Pownal, daughter April Haley Bump (Scott) of Pownal, six grandchildren Nicki Condon (Patrick), Haley Robinson, John "JR" Robinson II (Jamie), Melissa Reardon (James), Todd Haley (Wendy) and Krista Bump, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Judy Columbus of Pownal. She was predeceased by sisters, Florence Courtot, Lena Nolli, Carol Harris, Ann Cook, Eva Pratt, Cecelia Blake, Shirley Jones and brothers, Herbert Blake Jr., and Donald Blake.
Private graveside services will take place in the family plot in Oak Hill Cemetery, Pownal, VT. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.
