Stanley was one of my first teachers at Bennington College and became a mentor whose intellectual and emotional generosity shifted the course of my life. I've thought of him regularly throughout the years since studying with him and I will always remember him with great love and gratitude.

I was a student at Bennington College and studied with Stanley. I still think of conversations we had looking at my ceramic pieces. He was a deep thinker and wonderful artist.
