PITTSFIELD -- Robert Edward Flood, 45, of 164 Summer St., died Tuesday at home of natural causes.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 10, 1961, son of G. Alan Flood and the late Joan Updike Flood, he attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1979 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He also attended technical school in Windsor Locks, Conn.
At the time of his death, Mr. Flood was a self-employed automotive detailer. Previously, he worked in Sheffield in the same profession.
He enjoyed fishing and swimming.
Besides his father, of Tyringham and Hope Sound, Fla., he leaves a brother, G. Michael Flood of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Robert Edward "Rob" Flood, who died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church of Lee by the Rev. Susan D. Phoenix, pastor. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Flood may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or to the charity of one's choice, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. He also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Dear Mr. Flood
My condolences to you and your family. I lived a few doors down on Andover Street from 1965 until leaving for college in 1978. Rob was one of many good friends from that neighborhood that all grew together. I never kept in touch, but I have fond memories of our friendship and certainly enjoyed the occasional trip out to Goose pond. Peace be with you.

So sorry to hear of Robs passing. It is hard to express the emotions that pass through your mind when you hear news such as this. So many of my memories from Jr High and High school involve Rob, Goose Pond etc.

I knew Rob long ago in our junior high school days. So very sorry for your loss. My memories of Rob are very fond. We sure did have some fun times when we were kids!
