Ruth A. Klemperer

1938-2013 Ruth A. Klemperer, 84, died Wednesday evening at Menorah Park.

Born in Germany, Ruth escaped the Nazi regime with her parents in the fall of 1938. They settled in New Jersey where Martin and Rose Lindauer raised their daughter. Ruth graduated from nursing school and worked at the New York Foundling Hospital until marrying Ernest Klemperer, of blessed memory, in 1950. They were married for over 60 years. She and Ernest moved to Pittsfield, Mass. in the early 1960's where they raised their family.

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Mark Field; her son Dr. Mark Klemperer; and her grandchildren Lia and Liam Martin, Corinne Field, Zachary Field, Anna Klemperer, and Louisa Klemperer.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be graveside at 2 p.m. Monday in the Temple Anshe Amunim section of The Pittsfield City Cemetery.

Contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to Temple Anshe Amunim.
