Arthur Bejma Obituary

Arthur (Art) Bejma, age 82 passed away peacefully March 6, 2021 with his family by his side. Per his wishes, cremation will take place with a service at a later date.

Art was born September 23, 1938 to Arthur and Felicia Bejma, in Hamtramck, MI. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1958 to 1962.

Art married his forever love, Marilyn Jakubecki, on May 2, 1969 in Mt. Clemens, MI, and the two raised their family in Sterling Heights before moving to Canadian Lakes in 2004.

Art loved antique cars and always looked forward to the car show at the castle in Canadian Lakes every Labor Day. When he and Marilyn would watch old movies he could identify whatever make, model, and year the cars were in the movie. They liked to play trivia at the Remus Tavern and he also liked to shoot pool. But his greatest love was his family.

Art will be deeply missed by his wife of 51 years, Marilyn, along with his children, Colleen (Ric) Cuchetto, Daniel (Laura) Bejma, Kevin Bejma, Jude (Chris) Hamilton, Nancy (Lance) Tourtellott, and Kathleen Bejma; grandchildren, Kaela, Danika, Harley, Ross, Teagan and Cardwell; great granddaughter, Brooklyn.

In lieu of flowers those desiring may direct memorial donations to The Michigan Hospitality Industry Relief Fund (mrlaef.org) the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan (25200 Telegraph Rd, Suite 110, Southfield, MI 48033), or to St. Michael School in Remus (8944 50th Ave, Remus, MI 49340).
