Keith Eichenberg
Fort Mill South Carolina
March 28, 2025
It is with sadness that we announce that Keith David Eichenberg left this world peacefully in his sleep on March 28, 2025. We are comforted by the knowledge that he is now with Jesus and reunited with those who have gone on before him, including his parents, two brothers, and his beloved wife Dianne.
Keith was born on September 7, 1944, in Reed City, Michigan to George and Violet Eichenberg. He was the fourth of what would become a family of six brothers in the middle, with two sisters as book ends.
Keith worked at Reed City Tool and Die for over 40 years, beginning with an apprenticeship at 17 years old. He married the love of his life, Dianne Marie Lindsay in 1964. Together they shared a life in Reed City, focused on each other and raising their family on the values of faith, love, hard work, generosity, and servanthood. One way Keith served others was by donating blood, eventually giving over 100 pints to help those in need.
He and Dianne enjoyed their retirement years in Knoxville, Tennessee, meeting new friends, and serving others whenever they could, including at St. John's Lutheran Church. They enjoyed looking at antiques and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren until Dianne's passing from lung cancer on May 17, 2021.
Keith had a wonderful sense of humor. His love of jokes and ditties entertained his grandchildren and all who knew him. He always tried to spread kindness to everyone he met. Keith loved to sing and continued to use that gift to bless those at the memory care center where he lived the last year of his life.
He is survived by his children Michael and Laurie SullivanEichenberg and their 5 children and 7 grandchildren; David and Shawnda Eichenberg and their children and grandchild Mollie Eichenberg, Lindsay and Caleb Stinson (Nathan), and Brayden Eichenberg; Sarah and Matthew LeBlanc and their children and grandchild Brooke and Cameron Boles (Everett) and Grant LeBlanc; Kate Marsh and Ben Prince and her daughter Allison Marsh.
A memorial service will be held on June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Reed City, Michigan.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Reed City or to Via Health Partners/Hospice Care of Charlotte, North Carolina (
www.viahp.org) in his memory.
