Francis Salazar Obituary
Francis was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Malaga, New Mexico, to Eutimio Ortega and Nivas O. Ortega. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a homemaker but had also worked at Westside Community Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Jara and husband Fred of Big Spring and Ramona Rocha and husband Marcos of Big Spring; one sister, Sophia Ortega of Big Spring; one brother, Polito Ortega of Artesia, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Mark A. Rocha, Lisa Rocha Janssen, Dr. Delma Contreras Jara and Frankie Jara and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jose B. Ortega and Manuel Barragan and two sisters, Estafana Ramirez and Rosa Garcia.
Pallbearers will be Mark A. Rocha, Troy Janssen, Sisto Herrera, Jr., Timmy Ortega, Chon Garcia and Bryan Chavez.
