Grace Lessard Obituary

Grace "Tootie" Lessard, 91, passed peacefully away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, surrounded by family at St. John's.

Grace was born to Evangeline Cooper on June 19, 1921, in a home birth in Billings. She was the eldest of three sisters.

She married her husband of 65 years on Nov. 17, 1940, and the union was blessed with three children, Rowena, LeRoy "Skee" and Larry. Grandma and Grandpa made their home and raised their children in and around the Hardin area.

Grandma loved crafts and continued her crafting right up to her final days.

Grandma is survived by her sister Bonnie (Lawrence) Vandersloot; daughter-in-law Danelle Lessard; grandchildren Becky (Ed) Schoenrock, Gary Boheman, Carla (Russell) Maier, Jim Lessard, Lonnie Lessard, Laura (Rod) Molina, Mariam (Joseph) Stewart, Kenneth Lessard, Rowena (Kevin) George and Shane (Monica) Lessard; 34 great-grandchildren, including Lindi Lessard, whom she raised; and 20 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Cremation will take place after the funeral.

A very special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. John's for your loving care of our Grandma over the past two years, most especially Michael and Rita.

Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cfgbillings.com through "Our Families."
