Jimmy Myers Obituary

Jimmy Lee Myers Sr., 85, of Trussville, Alabama passed away on March 4, 2018. He was born April 12, 1932 to the late Harvey and Edna Myers in Praco, Alabama. Affectionately known as "Pop," he was preceded in passing by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Myers and his brothers Bob and James Myers. Pop is survived by his children, Jimmy Myers (Brooke), Jeff Myers (Ginger), and Tracy Keane; brothers Bill Myers (Jackie) and Bid Myers (Dorothy Jean); his grandchildren Tre, Amanda, Maddie, Garrett, Katie, Jordan, Chandler, Ethan, and Olivia; 13 great-grandchildren; and many other close relatives and friends. Pop proudly served his country in the United States Army where he learned to cook. His greatest love in life was his family. Pop enjoyed cooking good southern meals for his family and making memories at the lake. Pop retired from Alabama By-Products Corporation as a lab technician. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Memorial service was held Tuesday, March 6 at 6:00 pm at Gardendale Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pediatric Stroke Awareness.
