FARGO -- Adam F. Boehler, 57, 1721 Rose Creek Parkway E., Fargo, died Jan. 16, 1999, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church - North Campus, Fargo, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Hanson-Rundsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, where a Masonic service will begin at 7:30 tonight. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services.
Adam was born Jan. 18, 1941, at Lehr. He was educated in the Lehr Public Schools, Bismarck Junior College and Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D. Adam married Sandy Berge in Bismarck. Most of his life was in sales. He was a salesman for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. - directory advertising from 1968-1981. He was the manager of sales and operations for U.S. West Direct from 1981-1990, in Fargo. He also was the national marketing regional manager for Communications Professionals (national Yellow Page advertising agency). Adam and his wife were currently operating the Motor Vehicle Division - Fargo Branch.
Adam has thoroughly enjoyed being involved in various civic organizations. He was a member of the City of Fargo Civil Service Commission. He was past director of Fargo Chamber of Commerce, past director of Sales and Marketing Executives, past director of Fargo Cass County Economics Development Committee, past president of the El Zagal Shrine Board of Trustees, past president of the Oriental Band, past director of Central Dakota Bank, and a member of the El Zagal Jesters. He was an active member at Hope Lutheran Church, Telephone Pioneers of America, the Elks and the Eagles. He enjoyed hunting across North Dakota and fly fishing in Red Lodge, Mont. What Adam valued most was time spent with family and friends.
Adam is survived by his wife; two grown children, his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Brenda, and granddaughter, Alex, Plymouth, Minn.; and his daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Rodd Jose, Scottsdale, Ariz.
Adam was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Georgia (Nagel) Boehler.
The family prefers memorials to the El Zagal Shrine Elevator Fund.
