STEVEN EUGENE SCHNELL
Steven Eugene Schnell, 71, of Boonville, Missouri passed away on March 24, 2025, in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on November 19, 1953, the son of William (Bill) Fariss Schnell and Erma Lucille (Blank) Schnell.
Visitation of Stevie will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at Howard-Millard Funeral Home, with a celebration of life to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. George Rentschler officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
He lived life loving his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. His favorite place to go was Disney World and loved taking his family there. He grew up in Boonville, graduated from Boonville High school and worked in the family well drilling business, which he loved. He was a member of the Missouri Water Well Association.
On numerous occasions, Stevie (aka. "Jack", "Rooster", or "Buck") would drop whatever he was working on to help others. He never knew a stranger. He would give the shirt off his back to help a family member, friend, or someone in need. He could strike up a conversation that could last for hours and loved sharing stories of his life experiences. He was loved by so many names.
Stevie is survived by his five children: Nathan Schnell, Charles Schnell, Sharon Schnell, Roberta (Trevor) Fanning, and James Schnell. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, heloved them with all his heart; Bethany Day (Brett Razer), John Reeves, Lucy Reeves, and Trytin.

He is also survived by his three brothers, Bill (Valerie) Schnell of Aurora, David (Kay) Schnell of Rocheport, Tommy (Tonya) Schnell of Boonville, and his two sisters, Karen (Danny) Korte of Huntsville, AR, and Sara Kay (late Dennis) Farris of St Martins, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: Charles (Chuck), James (Jimmy),Gary, Donald (Donnie), and John Schnell.
Stevie will be remembered as a wonderful dad and "Poptart." He would do anything for his family and will be greatly missed!
