Dr.Hayes was my son´s pediatrician from the time he was born premature until we moved out of the area. She was SUCH a compassionate and skilled Doctor. I just adored her and I´m so thankful she was part of our lives during that exciting, yet anxious time as new parents.

I am just now learning of Dr. Hayes passing. She was my 2 son´s pediatrician and at a time when I was going through a really difficult time and doubted my parenting she gave me the reassurance I needed to feel like I was doing what was best for my children. My son was sick today..I saw your portrait hanging in the hallway..I had to ask, not knowing what has happened to the lovely "Irish Spirit"..I was taken aback, dumb-founded and grief-stricken all at once! I had no idea you had gone to your eternal rest. You are truly missed already,so much by SO many. May God grant you eternal peace and an eternal life that you could have only dreamt of in this World. It is difficult to believe you are gone. It was a real privilege to know you. We always had fun reminiscing about Ireland and the people we knew.

its is a very saddnes day for my and my family to learn about Dr. Ailish's death. We leave abroad, in Tirana, Albania, but our two kids were born in MA, and we were so lucky to have Dr. Ailish as their Pediatrition. . It is indeed, a moment of profound sadness for us and there is impossible for me to find the necessary words.

I met Dr. Hayes before my son was born when I needed to find a pediatrician. I instantly loved her. She was such a kind, compassionate doctor who put me at ease when I had concerns. She answered all of my questions no matter how silly I thought they were. My son only got to see her a few times but I am so grateful for each of those visits. I was hoping we would see her again on our last visit and was so upset when I found out about her passing.
I wish all doctors were like Dr. Hayes. She was absolutely wonderful.

Dr. Hayes,
I remember when my daughter was young and she saw you for the first time. She loved the little stuffed animal on your stethoscope. She wanted you as her doctor. With all her health issues, you were patient, understanding and never gave up. I remember spending 2 years of trying to solve a stomach issue, we tried everything. Once we found out what it was, we called the office and you weren"t there. The next morning I answered the phone to hear your voice and all your excitement. You made us feel special.
You were not only a great doctor but a remarkable woman. We are so glad to have known you.

Dr. Hayes,
She was my doctor and I loved her so much! She was very special to me and and i will never forget her. She always took time to talk to me, we spoke about our cats sometimes because we both loved them. I have a picture with Dr. Hayes when I was born 9 years ago that my mom took on my first visit. I will miss her so much but she will always be close to my heart.

I remember you, so vividly, in my class, at school, when I was four, five ,six years of age, and upwards: until we both left, around the age of twelve, and went on our respective ways to our different boarding schools. As a little girl, I remember well, you came to school each day, always with a sunshine smile on your face. You sometimes wore a white, beautifully ironed, satin ribbon on your hair, and definitely, always a white starched collar, on both your Winter navy, surge school uniform, and then a similiar crispy, white one, on your pale blue Summer uniform dress. I remember, so well, Ailish, you were obviously, so bright and enthusiastic, that you used to nod your knees together under your table, in order to remain part of us, at our slightly slower pace!
We met whenever we could over the years, but more than anything, I know you always made the time to visit my mum, when you were in Limerick while staying with your own dear mother. Your visits always meant so much to us all. Every time I met you, you looked sun-kissed, glamorous, radiant and happy, and some beautiful shade of icy blue was part of your outfit. Finally, Ailish, you wrote to me just recently, one of the most moving letters, which I received, regarding my sudden, unexpected, tragic loss of my own darling, Welsh husband Nigel, for which I thank you, whole-heartedly.
Wouldn't it be so lovely to meet again?

I remember talking to Ailish several years ago while she was getting chemo at a nearby hospital. We chatted about our homes, conferences and work. If it weren’t for the interleukin bag hanging from the pole and the triple-bore catheter under her cashmere camisole, you’d think we were hangin' out at Starbucks. Ailish dealt with her cancer with amazing courage and grace. She made us feel better.

Just wanna say....I am always gonna be so gratefully for having wonderful memories of you with my precious sons from the time they were newborns! Your magical way of getting a task completed so effortlessly! All the holding & praise & attention they each loved you from the start as much as DAD & I did!
Then still being able to smell your delightful fragrance ever so lightly lingering upon their little heads long after we had gotten home to the point of you actually geting me some of your fragrance as a gift just for me!
Well I still do have it all these years later & will continue to use it as my own special way of being able to feel your Love around me!
Never gonna stop bragging about the greatest Dr a kid could have ever had!
Your clinic was the best place for little ones to get the best care with the best kid friendly hours as well! A parents dream!
I remembered your dream of having a place with a much larger parking lot.... and yah know parking lot full or not theres no place on earth we would have rather taken our newborns/ babies/boys!

Dr. Hayes was an incredible doctor to our children for many years. The kids always felt safe and at ease with her and she really took the time to make them feel special and make them feel like the accomplishments the kids had in their lives were very important to her. She always showed the kids how excited and proud she was of them and made them each feel so special. It is rare to find a Doctor that can be so intimate and personal and make that special connection with their patients and their families, but Dr. Hayes did exactly this with each and every visit.
May she rest in peace, and know how much we all loved her.

Ailish was a wonderful sparkling colleague -- full of light and laughter -- even though we worked with some very difficult and sad genetic patients together, she was always wonderful for the families and would find a way to see the bright side. I didn't know she was ill and feel terrible to learn of her loss. My deepest sympathy to the family, friends, and other colleagues -- we have suffered a huge loss from the genetics community.

My family and I were shocked to hear of Dr. Hayes' passing. She fought a long and courageous battle with such dignity. Both my son and daughter were lucky enough to see her for a physical in July and my son said that he never met a doctor as nice and caring as Dr. Hayes. She loved her work was truly loved by all. What an amazing loss for the Revere-Winthrop Pediatric team and patients. My daughter said to me "God must have needed a good doctor in heaven." She now can work her magic in heaven without any pain. My family and I are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Dr. Hayes. She has treated both of my children, and myself as well.
No matter how ill she was, she was constantly smiling, reassuring and saying "I am going to beat this , don't, don't worry about me!"
She has showed so much compassion - even making phone calls from home at night to check on the kids - that's an amazing doctor that are a rarity these days. She will be deeply missed and loved by our entire family.

I am so sorry for the loss of Dr. Hayes. She was my Daughter and son's doctor. She will be missed very much. She was a very caring person. She had a heart of gold.

Dr Hayes, we had the priviledge of knowing you as our daughter Mia's pediatrician for the first 18 months of her life as we then relocated. We always felt Mia was in the best possible hands with the care in which you provided. I know Mia was always afraid of going to the "doctors" but your warm smile and gentle ways made me feel less stressed and I am sure Mia did too. You will be missed by all whom you cared for, and for those who cared for you. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your loved ones. God Bless you Dr. Hayes.

To All of Dr Hayes family & Friends,
God definitely has another angel! I was so saddened to hear the news. Dr Hayes was such an amazing role model for my daughter who has had many issues with illness. She gave her confidence and made her feel so special always even when she felt her worst! I am so grateful to have met her and feel blessed to have been such a small part of her life. My daughter will continue to remain a better person for having her as her pediatrician for all these years. May she rest in peace and may God watch over all of her family.

I meet Dr Ailish Hayes through my work with pediatricians. She was a great role model to her patients and peers. I shall miss her smile. My thoughts are with her immediate family and the practice staff whom she treated as family.

Dr Hayes you are an angel. My family will miss you more than anyone will ever know. For the past 13 yrs you have been a big part of our life. You were the Dr that no matter what, you were always there for my kids. Christopher told me he will never forget the best Dr he has ever had.
