Alex Used to ride in the passenger seat of my truck all the time at school. I still miss him many years later. Some days I think hes still over there.

Dear Melissa and family,
I can't even begin to say how sorry I am for your loss, so I will tell you my memories of Alex...
I remember Alex through a few BBYO/AZA events I managed to get him to come to... I remember always being after him to join AZA, calling your house all the time to tell him about events that were coming up. I guess it wasn't his schtick though, but he did come to a few events and I am glad that he did. He was a good kid and he will be missed... he will be missed.

PS I found a 4-leaf clover yesterday and wished Alex well on it...

Alex there is no doubt in my mind you were my best friend in this whole world. You were always there when i needed you even if it meant coming back to Chapel Hill to see me. I love you and you will always be in my heart. To the Young family, i send my love to you and im so sorry for your loss. Alex was the best friend i ever had he will be missed.

alex was a very close friend of mine and this event has really changed my life. Alex was a great friend and was well liked by many people. He was always making friends wherever we went. I'll hold our many great memories together in my heart always...alex was the best...i'll love and miss him for as long as I live....Mr. and Mrs. Young and Melissa....know that you always have my support..alex was truely a great kid...It was a privelage to be as close to him as I was....

Dear Michael, Laura, Melissa and to all of Alex's family and friends. My deepest sympathy are with you all, and you and Alex are in my prayers today and always in this very sorrowful time. No words can heal your pain, with the loss of Alex. A Blessing for Alex
(said at dawn in Cantara Zen Gardens, Acton)
A blessing to those who reside beside Maynard Country Club at dawn this Summer morning.
I saw the breath of God in the blazing sun all day yesterday as Venus streaked across our Sun carrying with it the spirit of Alex.
The name Alex Young is added to the list of our fallen, which has claimed yet another life too soon, it would seem from the our small Acton community.
It is from these rural hills that we hear a gong and wooden board being struck in timeless attention to the suffering of all beings.
We hear the ancient Kabalist's chanting in Sandscript
Tadyatha! Gate, Gate, Para Gate, Parasam Gate!
Bodhi Swaha!
Pure awareness is transcending, ever transcending, transcending transcendence, transcending even the transcendence of transcendence.
This is Awakened Mind!
Alex surely could explain this for all to understand
This chant was repeated 21 times our loss and pain was honored by the dancing light of dawn. Reality without form or name called out
Alex, Alex, Alex
The sound of his name has no beginning or end.
Or so it seemed in the stillness this summer morn. We await the day that this small dot of Venus will appear before our Sun as we look up to see our friend Al walking with Alex across the Sun.
We will see these blessings upon our community in June 2012

Alex... you were the best roomate ever! So many funtimes and memories! You were a friend and a mentor. I know that you are in are in a better place. You will never be forgotten. In the words of Tupac "Only the good die young," you werent good, you were the BEST.

There are no words that I can type or say to you. You know how I feel. My heart was broken that I couldn't be there today but knowing that my boys were his pall bearers and that even though I wasn't there physically, my heart was shared with aliza and since he was our kindered spirit,I know that he knew I was there. I will see you tomorrow
along with Rachel. Even though this note is from me, Michael and Rachel feel the pain the same as I do.Michael was so glad to have spoken with him at the party because he is crushed he can't come due to work commitments. we are here for you now and always. That is what makes our family work - we are always there for each other.
