Met Sandy tru my ex husband Dario Sabatini over 50 years ago.
We invited Sandy to dinner shortly after my arrival to America. Dario had said to me that Sandy loved any kind of food..
I cooked and prepared for 2 days, a traditional Italian "pranzo" from antipasto to espresso.....
Pranzo consists of courses of pastas, meats, seafood..
ends with desserts and liquors.
I didn´t speak any English yet, but didn´t need too, spoke the language of food.....Sandy loved everything, ate with the fork and also his fingers, enjoying every morsel...Between courses Sandy kept on scratching his head and asking what was the next course..
At the end I packed everything for him to take home, had cooked for 20 people.....
Sandy never forgot that night...and neither did I! Had been my pleasure to cook for someone that really appreciated my cooking...
Warm condolences to the entire family ...Sandy´s memory will live on forever.

It has been said if you have one good friend in your life then consider yourself lucky. Well, then I would consider myself lucky. Sandy was my loyal friend for over 50 years. We first met through business. However, over the course of a half century we were witness to the many highs and lows in each others lives. From walks in Boston, when I was first divorced, to playing golf on the Cape or meeting in NYC. Sandy was always there checking in or offering advice. I am going to miss his phone calls and text messages to check in. However, I will be forever grateful for his friendship.

I was fortunate to have Sandy as a stalwart friend for 30 years. He saw me through thick and thin, always concerned with my welfare. I could not have asked for a finer person to enrich my life! You will be sorely missed, dear Sandy!
