Anita D'ANGELO Obituary

D'ANGELO, Anita (Nicolosi) Formerly of Lawrence and Westwood, died on September 15, 2024, surrounded by her two sons, Dr. Henry D'Angelo and Honorable Andrew D'Angelo, both of Medfield; her daughters-in-law, Mary Christine and Carrie of Medfield; and her nine grandchildren, Sarah and Cooper, Henry, Emily, Arthur and Karen, William and Celina, Francesca, Jack, Anthony and Marcus. Anita is also survived by her eight great-grandchildren.

Anita was born in Lawrence and grew up with her mother and father who had immigrated to this country from Sicily. Anita was valedictorian of her Lawrence High School graduating class and then attended Fisher Junior College to become a bookkeeper, because her parents could not afford a four-year college. As a bookkeeper, Anita met the love of her life, Henry D'Angelo; who with his twin brother, Arthur, had started Twins Enterprises across the street from Fenway Park. Shortly after marrying, Anita joined the business and kept the books for all of Henry and Arthur's many ventures. Anita and Henry lived in Newton and then moved to Westwood, where Anita became an integral part of the Westwood community. She was a member of the Westwood Booster's Club, the PTA and the co-president of the Westwood High School's first Super Bowl championship banquet. Her husband, Henry, predeceased her in 1987; while her son, Andy was at Westwood High School and Rick was at the University of Pennsylvania. Anita remained central to the family business and continued to run the finances when her nephews took over Twins Enterprises and subsequently '47 Brand. Anita loved all her nephews, nieces and extended families. Anita's joy in life were her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her son's professional and personal accomplishments brought her tremendous pride. Everything she did in the last several decades of her life was devoted to the happiness of her family. They will never forget her love and devotion. We love you Nona.
