Anthony Berardi

BERARDI, Anthony Passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 after a 3 year courageous battle with colon cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Dolores (DeCusio) Berardi, his son Michael Berardi and his wife Carol of Pepperell, MA, daughter Debbie Berardi Christensen and her husband David of Laguna Beach, CA. Tony adored his four grandchildren, Ashley Stowers & husband Greg, Hailey Jodat, Victor Berardi and Tatum Berardi. He is also survived by his three sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Nick Tulipani of Palm Desert, CA, Lucy and Jack Bilodeau of Norwood, MA, and Terri and Raymond Beaudreau of Murphys, CA. He was also the brother to the late John Berardi of Oakland, CA and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Anthony, also known as Tony and affectionately as Sonny or Bibby, grew up in Jamaica Plain, MA and raised his family in Hyde Park, MA. He had a 43 year career with United Airlines as a Manager at Logan Int'l Airport. After retiring, he and Dolores moved to Tewksbury, MA.Tony loved spending time with family and friends, gardening (especially growing tomatoes, basil and peppers!), and was an active member of United Retirees club, the Nor'Easters. He loved to travel and was so thrilled to tour Italy visiting the neighborhoods of his relatives. His travels took him right up to the last weeks of his life when he fulfilled a long time wish to take a cruise; which he did with his family, his strong will and determination leading the way! His personality, kindness and carefree way of life was infectious. He was an amazing father and husband, always putting his family's needs before himself. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of the life of Anthony Berardi will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Tewksbury Country Club from 10am - 2pm.
