My deepest sympathy to the Garvey/Lacavita families. Cathy and I worked at MGH together for 6 years and remained friends all these years, I had no idea that she had passed and I am so sorry to hear this. My heart breaks for Julie & Jim. May she RIP.

To Cathy's Family,
It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of such a well-lived life.
I met Cathy a few years ago and I talked to her when she left the FDIC. Cathy spent more time asking about me and she wanted to make sure I was ok. Cathy was just that type of person. I'm happy that she came into my life, only if it was a short time.

I am so so sad to hear of Cathy's passing.
My condolences to Jim, Julie and family. Cathy was such a bright light in this world.
She was beautiful inside and outside.
I feel such a void in my heart right now.
She made a difference to so many, just being wonderful Cathy.

I wrote this days ago but never posted it but I hope it is okay to post it now:
This is so sad. I am sorry for your loss. Make that, sorry for all our loss. Cathy is a wonderful human being who had the special gift of making the world a better place when she was around. Her beautiful smile and beaming personality could brighten anyone's day.
Although the years have slipped by and the contacts were fewer and far between, I can still see her standing there, as it were yesterday, with the Corona gang making life more enjoyable, more special for all of us.

With sincere sympathy to Julie, Jim, Peggy, and the rest of the Garvey family. So sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure and honor to be Cathy's oncology nurse. She was very brave through her ordeal and never complained during her treatments. What a lovely lady. She will be missed by many. Many all your warm and happy memories console you during this very sad time. Cathy will always be with you in your hearts! May she rest in peace!

So sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Cathy and becoming good friends. Although we did not see each other often enough, when we did, it was like no time had passed. God Bless her family and friends at this difficult time.
