CHRISTOPHER RICHARD O'HARE

1951 - 2024

O'HARE, Christopher Richard Of Walpole, formerly of Needham, passed away peacefully at home, on December 13, 2024. Chris had lived with kidney cancer for the last several years. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Lorinda O'Hare of Walpole, MA; his daughter, Ashley and her husband, J.D. Pappagallo of Walpole, MA, his daughter, Lauren of Waltham, MA and his daughter, Taylor and her fiancé, Robert McCarthy of Vermont. He was the brother of Patricia Calemmo and Barbara Luken. Chris is also survived by two grandchildren, Elle and Austin Pappagallo. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Chris was born on December 31, 1951 to Richard and Blanche O'Hare and grew up in East Islip, NY. He attended Drake University, where he met Lorinda and graduated with a degree in Journalism and Film, before going on to work as a videographer at Channel 5 in Needham, MA. He won an Emmy for Individual Achievement for his work on the show Chronicle. He then did camera work and directing via his own company, O'Hare Productions, for the remainder of his impressive career. Chris was a devoted husband, parent, brother and grandparent. He touched the lives of so many with his kindness, mentorship and empathy. Throughout his journey with cancer, Chris displayed unwavering positivity and incredible determination, inspiring those closest to him. He will be greatly missed. Visiting Hours will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, NEEDHAM, on Saturday, December 21, at 10am, followed by a Service at noon. Interment will follow at Needham Cemetery.
